Downtown Wilmington is truly a fantastic place! There is so much to do, see, eat, and just enjoy. Rather than having me babble about it all, I figured a picture is a thousand words. So here goes...
What great pictures. Is the waterfront within walking distance of downtown. Willmongton. I especially love the buildings and the statues. Who does the art work represent ? The naked mermaid is super.
Carole, the artwork was a front for a building for lease. It covered up the windows. The waterfront is part of the downtown area. Wilmington downtown is on the Cape Fear River which is the water views in the pics. It truly is a lovely small town with so visual interest and so much to do.
